When we look at the world through a lens, we perceive differently. Photography, cinematography, digital enhancement, and art in all senses of the world, are means to choose how and what we want to see. When Walker Evans, one of the most notable dust-bowl era photographers, was asked “Does the camera ever lie?” His answer was unquestionably honest. “Of course. It almost always does.”

Most often, of course, the camera tells the truth. Walker Evans was undoubtedly referring to the photographer’s ability to see and speak through the lens, choosing what and how to say it. Please scroll down to see some of my favorites. Prints are also available for sale.
